Problem when Dragging from Outlook 2013

Post by kouhj »

I've been suffering this issue for more than half a year! Do you have a plan to fix the issue to drag from Outlook 2013 to XY?
I tried XY (from around 14.80 to the latest 15.70) + Outlook 2013 64bit on both Windows 8.1 x64 and Windows 10 x64 and I have the same problems:
1. Drag attachments from email into XY: nothing happens.
2. Copy attachments and Paste in XY: the files are copied, but the display is not refreshed. I have to press F5 or switch to another tab and back before I can see the files and double click to open.

In all cases, Windows original Explorer worked just fine!

This annoying and long-lasting issue is seriously killing my time, and my experiences.

PLEASE TRY TO FIX IT ASAP! THANKS!

Do you mean that it stopped working half a year ago?

Sorry, I can't reproduce this...

Win 7 SP1 x64 (no installations apart from Office 2013 x64, no windows + office updates)
XY v15.60.0011 (portable, started with user permissions)
Outlook 2013 x64 (started with user permissions)

Dragging an E-Mail-Attachment called "nötige Programme.xls" from Outlook into XYplorer
leads to:
"nötige Programme.xls"

with valid content and correct size...

@Highend: I think OP is only complaining about mail attachments not being copied properly.
I used Office 2013 32bit on Win 8.1 64bit and now on Win 10 Home 64bit and never had any of the described problems.

Oh, I see^^

Doesn't matter, I've changed my previous posting to reflect that change. It works without any problems for attachments as well :)

Yes, you are right. I can't copy-n-paste from Outlook 2013 x64. I've been using Windows 8 x64 + Outlook 2013 x64 for more than a half year, and I have to copy-n-paste from Outlook into XY, and then manually switch the tab to another and back, so that I can see it being displayed in the current tab.

Recently I clean installed Windows 10 x64 + Outlook 2013 x64, and I am still suffering from it.

Well. The good news is that I just found you have fixed the bug to drag-n-drop from Outlook into XY. A bug which forced me to develop the habit to use keyboard copy-n-paste from Outlook. Now I can slowly switch back to mouse...
