Apparently this is a persistent problem on my new work computer.
I have to download the install package two or three times, until it actually downloads the latest version. (three times today with 6.00.0009)

So it definitely wasn't me being too quick.

Anybody out there with an idea what's going on here?

Sounds like you're getting a cached copy from a proxy server.

But why would it decide then after the 2nd or 3rd time not to use the cached one anymore?
Or how do I prevent this from happening?

Thanks
Ralph :)

The proxy is only going to cache for some preconfigured lifetime. It might be set to only cache for a certain number of requests. Bypassing the proxy is a whole technical endeavor that may or may not have implications to your continued employment

So sorry, I don't have a solution. I just figured I'd throw out a possible cause.
