Unable to persist panes across sessions

Post by fabvit »

I am not able to persist panes across sossions (in dual panes view).

For example:
left pane C:\
right pane D:\
active pane D:\
If I close and relaunch XYplorer both panes are now displaying D:\

In other words both panes, after relaunching, show the content of the last active panes before closing XYplorer.

Any help is appreciated

Is Configuration > Startup & Exit > Save settings on exit ticked?

An entry inside Configuration > Startup & Exit > Permanent startup path?

Setup your panes, click Menu - File - Save Settings
Close XY, restart it, how does it look like?

Yes it is.

Is blank

Still I get the same identical two panes: the content of both panes is taken from the last active pane before File -> Save Settings, File -> Exit (Saving)

What other pieces of configuration do I need to check in order to resolve this issue?

thanks

Re: Unable to persist panes across sossions

I Apologize for top-posting again my issue: it seems I'm unable to solve it.

Yes it is.

Still I get the same identical two panes: the content of both panes is not saved when closing XYPlorer. If for example I have Left Pane C:\ and Right Pane G:\, then closing XYPlorer and reopening it shows both panes displaing either C:\ or G:\

What other pieces of configuration do I need to check in order to resolve this issue?

Re: Unable to persist panes across sessions [SOLVED]

Thank you to user Fabio Vitale (myself) who solved my issue ;-)

The problem was in my config: here what I did in order to solve it:

0. Close XYPlorer

1. edited XYPlorer.ini and removed both Tabset1 and Tabset2 under [General] section

2. Under [Settings] section changed from TabsetsNoPaneActivation=0 to TabsetsNoPaneActivation=1

3. delete the entire content of folder C:\Users\fabio\AppData\Roaming\XYplorer\Panes

Now panes are persisted across sessions

Thank you again Fabio :-)
