I am using XYplorer version 15.40.0100, attempting to copy data
files from a Samsung Galaxy S5 cell phone to a completely empty
Windows directory residing on an NTFS file system.
Here are a few details about the cell phone and the system:
Phone Model: SAMSUNG-SM-G900A
Firmware Version: G900AUCU2AOA1
Android Version: 4.4.4
Kernel Version: 3.4.0-3116194
Windows Info: Windows 7 Ultimate
Service Pack 1
64-bit
Windows Machine: Dual Intel Xeon E5620 processor chips;
Each chip is quad core with Hyper-threading;
2.6 GHz
48 GB ECC memory
I use XYplorer to select some file (a JPEG, for example) residing
on the cell phone and attempt to drag the file to the empty
directory.
Most of the time no copying takes place. Sometimes I get a Windows
pop-up which states:
XYplorer.exe - Application Error
The instruction at 0x7782f766 referenced memory at
0x8b00002b. The memory could not be read.
Click on OK to terminate the program.
I've also tried right clicking on the selected file and choosing
"copy as" which always fails with the Windows pop-up.
If I right click on the selected file, then select "copy", then
select the new destination, and then select "paste", the file
copy operation succeeds.
