Newbie Reporting In....

Post by badams007 »

Just wanted to say how thrilled I am. My very messy hard drive is now becoming a sleek and happy safe retreat from the world gone insane.

I just learned that I could set slow double click for renaming things. It's like a fun easter egg hunt. :) I can't get over how organized I am becoming. Routines that used to be laborious are now moving along like a finely built expensive new car. I feel very... sophisticated. Me?? Who knew? HAHAHAHA

:)

[Edited to add: OOOOH I love the Edit/Move-To.... it memorizes places you've moved things to in the past (wonder how far back)...and offers user a list of past spots. How nice!!! Saves tedious browsing to places we put things often. Sleek!
I suppose Copy-To does the same. OH BOY This will be HUGE assist for me. :D ]

Welcome badams! I discovered XYplorer almost a year ago and I'm still finding new things. XYplorer has many advantages you'll come to appreciate over time. Anyway, join in and don't be afraid to ask anything; there are lots of people here who have helped me.

Thanks, Zaine! Yes, XYplorer sure amazes and impresses me more with each use!! Being a software nut, I've tried and bought lot of programs over the years - utilities mostly - and it's funny because XY *does* many of the chores the programs used to do for me!!

(Speaking of which, are we allowed to talk about other great software here? I have a couple that a text editor program that I love, it's free and/or cheap, and a book collector database that I like much, off the top of my head. Great software deserves some plugs and I love your list!)

Thanks for the welcome. :)

Sure, even of great other file managers. As long as it serves the development of XY...
