Hi there,
maybe i found a bug again which i refered to a little earlier.
If you want to go to a folder with this address
\\Server1\folder1\folder2\folder3\folder4\folder5\folder6\folder7
and you don't have the "list" or "read" permission for folder3, but for the other folders, Windows shows you correctly the content of folder7, but XYplorer 5.80.0015 shows you only an empty folder3 without an error message.
Pls. check
Regards,
Detlev

Re: Go to Bug
How does Windows show the Tree in this case? Are the non-permitted folder shown anyway? If yes, what happens if you selected them?

Re: Go to Bug
I am sorry i was wrong. Windows doesn't show folder3. If i shorten the path toDetlevH wrote:Yes, it doesn't show it.admin wrote:So the Explorer Tree does not show the non-permitted folder3, like this???DetlevH wrote:I get an error message from Windows. \\Server1\folder1\folder2\folder4\folder5\folder6\folder7
\\Server1\folder1\folder2\folder3
i get an error message from windows ('you don't have permission to show the folder') if i enter it in the address bar of Internet explorer or windows explorer.
But if i enter
\\Server1\folder1\folder2\folder3\folder4\folder5\folder6\folder7
i can see content of folder7.
I think it's easy to check if you are an admin on your Windows and grant some rigths to a certain user, log in as this user and try it to view the folder.
Kind regards,
Detlev

I'll check that. After CKS.DetlevH wrote:I think it's easy to check if you are an admin on your Windows and grant some rigths to a certain user, log in as this user and try it to view the folder.
