how to turn off preview

I try to drag a file from one pane to another in order to move it, but the preview popup window appears and prevents any drag/drop.

Generally I give up and just use Windows Explorer.

However, to give XY a chance, how do I complete turn off all preview functions??

Uncheck this: Configuration > Mouse Down Blow Up > On left mouse down (popup stays up until button is released)

You don't have to turn off the preview functions (MDBU) if you remember to drag from the filename itself and not from the thumbnail or icon provided of course that you have captions enabled.

Especially for the tip to drag from the file name.

Right now XYp is still new to me (the configuration possibilities are immense, and the help file is enormous, yet searching for things like "preview" gives me a whole screen full of topics, so no help with "search"). If I can get to where I can tame it, maybe I can start to explore its possibilities. The preview capability is useful, as long as I can control when it happens.
