Mapped Drives with 15.00.0100

Post by dothedew »

I just upgraded to the latest version and all of my mapped network drives simply state Location currently not available. Was working fine before the upgrade. I can put in \\ipaddress and access the NAS fine, but I guess I will have to remap each of my drives.

After waiting about 10 minutes, I went back and all of the mappings started working. Not sure why the delay.

Hello,

I am in the trial state and found that all my mapped drives are with a red cross thus unable to access them.
Is that a limitation of the trial version?
Thank you.

No, that's not a limitation of the trial version.

Does the issue persist?

Yes, the problem is still there (using 15.00.0100).

I often experience delays and even temporary application hangups (you know.. like if it was single threaded app and the windows gets greyed out) between 10-30 seconds when accessing a network drive tab. It is not because it has disconnected from that drive as there is no similar issue with Windows Explorer or Total Commander for example when I compare.

Is it possible to enable a debug log of what is going on in that period of time when it is stalling - or do you already have an idea of what the cause may be?

Thank you.

Unusual. Cannot explain at the moment. Will add debug log later.

One idea: Could you enabled the Mini Tree (View | Mini Tree | Mini Tree) and try again?

Also please try the latest release: 15.00.0400.

I installed version 15.00.0400 and enabled Mini Tree. So far I have not seen any hangs since then.

Do you suspect something with the normal tree listing to be the cause?

There are differences between the tree that *might* explain it. I assume it's related to network. Whatever, it should not happen in any tree. Let me know if it happens again.
