Cannot read from source disk

Hi all.

I think I have found a little bug...to reproduce:

Click on a folder in the tree and create a new subfolder (I use the tollbar button). The new subfolder shows up both in the tree and the list.
Click on the new subfolder in the tree and delete it. When I do this I get the message: Cannot delete file: cannot read from source file or disk.

Notes:
I cannot delete the folder from a different tab.
I can delete it if I do it from the list.

Any one else see this?

I can't get that same error, but I am able to get something similar: "Nothing to delete"...but only IF I click in tree to delete the new folder before I've given it a name in the list, and left it 'hanging' in "rename" mode with "New Folder" as default value.

However, when I get that msg, and then re-click on same folder, I can then delete it just fine.

The two conditions that seem to be required to get error are:
1) Folder in tree to receive New Folder must already contain some folders, and not just files
2) Folder in tree to receive New Folder must be expanded

Nope. Does this happen no matter where you create the new folder? Like, needs to have subfolders or not, be expanded or not, on any disk, etc
I tried with keyboard, TB buttons, mix of the both, my folder always gets deleted (unless I do as jc described, see below)

that's not the same thing as JohnM, what happens here is that when you hit Delete (or press TB button) the focus has actually been sent back to the List (on closure on Rename mode I guess) and, yes, there is nothing to delete on List, hence that message.
You should see that when you do as you describe, after you clicked on "New Folder" it doesn't show up on blue but gray background (or whatever your focus colors are set to), because the Tree loose the focus right after you clicked the folder!

I have the following on:
Auto-refresh (on all)
Resort after rename
Sort folders apart
Keep folders on top
Delete conf is off
Check existence of subfolders for tree nodes

The parent folder of the folder I am trying to delete has a few files in it (120+) and is on my HDD.

I create the subfolder with name "Tmp" by clicking within the LV and hitting the TB button for create folder. After I enter the name of the new subfolder, it jumps to the top of the LV. Then I click on the parent folder in the TV and expand it so that I can see the new subfolder. Then I click on the new subfolder in the TV and hit delete and I get the error.

If I click on the new subfolder within the LV the delete works.

Well, I turned on keep folders on top & off the delete confirmation, tried as you described on a few folders, including ones that had not yet been expanded before, but wasn't able to reproduce it.

Maybe Don will be more lucky, or find/fix it regardless of any luck

I followed the setup given and tried it a couple of times...works just fine for me also...unable to reproduce error!

I think I have found a little bug...to reproduce:

Holy shit, yes! This is very embarassing! It concerns all folders under special paths Desktop and MyDocuments.

Fixed.
