Can XY either natively or via scripting accomplish this?
Say there is a folder named Main. It contains three sub-folders: Alpha, Beta and Gamma. Each of these holds 10 files. Select "Main" then Copy/Move all 30 files as a group simultaneously to a new location without sub-folders.
This example is just an illustration to show the desired operation and could easily be done manually. In practice Main would contain up to 100 sub-folders each with 75 to 80 files.
Any wisdom that could be rendered would be of great value!

Re: Copy/Move many files at once
Manually you could do this:
1. Go to Main
2. Enable Branch view
3. Press Ctrl+M
4. Type "*:" without quotes
5. now you have every file selected, you can drag'n'drop them where you want
In case of Rich Copy warning hit No.
Beware of filename collisions!

Excellent Marco, thank you
This may be one of the best and most productive uses of Branch I've seen yet. Would never have thought of this approach.

Note that there is also Edit | Select | Select All Files (Ctrl+Shift+Alt+M).
And you can have a Branch view for files only:
You could as well run a Quick Search to find all files:

Re: Copy/Move many files at once
The take away from this is that Branch is more useful that had been realized. Rather like a Swiss Army knife where what can be done with it is limited only by ingenuity.
Especially like "? /:flatfiles". To use an old country expression that really "Shucks it right down to the cob".
