I have two wishes in find files tab:
1. In the excluded folders tab, it would be useful to have an option to add more than one folder in one go. Something like adding selected folders from the list or using ctrl+click for selecting more folders in the browse mode.
2. Add an option "search directories only". Not many newbies know of "!*.*" as a way to search directories.
A bonus wish which applies to all of XYplorer and not very urgent is to have tooltips popping up (as an option) as you point to every item around in the program. This in my opinion is the best way to explore and learn a software if you are new to it.
Some search options

Re: Some search options
hmm.. not sure what you mean there? If you want to search for directories only you must simply use the Attributes tab, and check "Directory"surrender wrote:2. Add an option "search directories only". Not many newbies know of "!*.*" as a way to search directories.
BTW "!*.*" does NOT mean anything related to folders, I have both files without dot/extension in their names, and folders with dot/ext in their names!!
ps: I agree, tooltips are a great way fo usrs to get quick instant help indeed...

You are right jacky, I did not notice the directory thing in attribute tab.
But regarding excluding more than one folder at one go, currently I use the following method.
Select folders i want to exclude and use ctrl+p to copy paths and paste in the "editor mode" inside "manage" window of "excluded folders" tab. The only hitch is checking each of them manually.
I was thinking of "add selected" button.
And on second thoughts regarding help tootips the problem I see is catching up with the fast evolving XY features. In any case one cannot be faster than the Wiki which IMHO is the best help out there. Great going Jacky.

Yep! I'm admiring the wiki and it's continuous and speedy growth every day.surrender wrote:And on second thoughts regarding help tootips the problem I see is catching up with the fast evolving XY features. Yes, and it was a good thing: the wiki might use some help pages itself after alllukescammell wrote:I'm trying to put some of the wiki help docs in as I didn't have a clue about the wiki markup and the help link went to a blank page
