It would be a small but nice addition to have the breadcrumb bar drop down the menu that the mouse is currently floating over, *after* one has already been opened. So I click on the wrong one, and then move the mouse over to the right one, and it just opens without having to click again.

This also would make it easier to browse the structure.

it would also be better if hovered folder contents popped out:

Re: Breadcrumb bar drop-downs change on float
Well, I want to be clear that I'm not asking for sub-menus.
But I must say, the one thing I really miss from Xplorer2 is their breadcrumb bar. It only displays the path itself. You activate the sub-menus (which in XY are the triangles) by right-clicking on any element. And it displays all sub-folders (no files), as deep as you want to go. Interestingly, you can't switch to a different top-level element by just moving your mouse, as I'm asking for here.

I find the infinite submenus to be pretty neat, but a little "fragile" (you can't really quickly move the mouse, or the menus change, because it thinks you're clicking somewhere else), and the benefit (of what I'm guessing is a moderately large change in XY) is not THAT huge. Very nice to have, though, especially if that "fragile" problem could somehow be addressed.

*Actually*!!!
If the concept of "mini-tree" was implemented in the sub-menus, so only the desired/most used/... folders are displayed, that would be *incredibly* useful. That crazy screenshot above would be tamed. And thinking about it, that's probably the reason Xplorer2's version is "fragile", because there's so much distance to travel, and you inevitably make mistakes.
Again, I'm *not* asking for sub-menus in this feature request, but it does seem like *minified* submenus in the breadcrumb bar would indeed be more than just nice to have. Way more.

The "remembered sub-directories" in XY can't be beat though.
