Don, is there some way/probability to improve ordinary icons size along with thumbnails advance?
you see, thumbs are very useful and i use this view most of time, but at the same time ordinary icons become so small(especially if thumbs are not in smallest size or screen is large).
maybe some way to use larger icons can be provided or a mechanism to take closest by size icon to current thumb size? most programs anyways provide icons for files with large scale..

Re: Advanced thumbnails and labels?
don, can we have an option to turn off color filters when in thumbnails mode? color filters are useful in list/details mode, but the extra colors can be distracting in thumbnails mode.
or better yet, perhaps let us specify filename and label color for thumbnails mode? can be useful for visually distinguishing filename and label, as shown in the example below...

Re: Advanced thumbnails and labels?
also another issue: when "show caption" is unticked, there is no way to see which thumbnail is selected. i suggest...
- extend the highlight to the blank space below thumbnails. when a thumbnail is selected, color the blank space under the thumbnail.
- add option to customize how much blank space is below/above thumbnails. allow this value to be as low as 0, so we can fit more thumbnails vertically.

Re: Advanced thumbnails and labels?
Noticing the XNView shot:
Would it be a great deal to give thumbnails their own 'Focused Item' color to better account for the the specific background color when used?
When there's a Yin there has to be a Yang.
Cheers,
Filehero

Re: Advanced thumbnails and labels?
please add ability to make tiles view put labels at bottom. this would allow tighter thumbnail spacing like the examples.

many years later...
can you make it possible to put custom labels below the thumbnails, like in the first post?
