Find: Please make Autosync on by default
In the past autosync was hardcoded and that was not a problem for me. Now it is an option and that is also not a problem for me. But its default state is off now and everytime I reset the filters I have to enable it again. That bugs me a little bit. Is there a way to change the default find options? Maybe a template "Default" could be used for default settings? But at least the autosync option should be on by default.

Since I'm the one who asked for the option that became AutoSync, I had suggested that default be On! (http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic. ... 3&start=15).
Either way would be ok, as long as it remains set off, until turned on explicitly, when it is set off by user...I keep it off 99.99% of time, and may turn it on momentarily to load current folder into location, but don't want it to get turned on unless I check it.
When a "reset filters" is done, it seems that 'include subfolders' will get set on, so there is at least one other option that gets set on...given that I personally almost never use "reset filters", if it were to set AutoSync=On, it wouldn't bother me THAT much, but it'd be one more thing I'd have to reset after the R-F!
So...if one could have a user defined 'Reset Filter' template/setting (even if via INI tweaking) that would be used by the R-F button, then we both could get what we desire, right?

That's a good idea, but I have not time for it now. Remind me later please!j_c_hallgren wrote:So...if one could have a user defined 'Reset Filter' template/setting (even if via INI tweaking) that would be used by the R-F button, then we both could get what we desire, right?
I'm with peterbonge that ON should be the default after Reset.
Another idea (also for Include Subfolders) would be to leave it as it is on a Reset. What about this??

This would work for now, I definitely believe, as Peter could leave it On and I'd leave it Off...and it's a setting that (I think) most other folks would also always have set their favorite way, and not expect "Reset Filters" to affect it, since it's NOT really a 'filter' but basically a config setting.admin wrote:Another idea (also for Include Subfolders) would be to leave it as it is on a Reset.
