I have looked through settings and search but cannot find an answer:
How do you contract all of the tree on startup? It remembers all of my expanded tree locations from last exit.
Also, anyway for it to not remember expanded trees inside other trees when they are contracted?
Edit:
I do NOT have 'Remember state of tree' checked
Add:
Is there a way for the search to auto-remove when unchecking tags/labels? I have Toggle on same query checked but the search bar stays and all files and folders appear in the pane

Re: Startup Tree
I found that 'Auto-optimize tree' will contract all tree sub-branches inside the current selected tree when it is contracted. This seems to work well.
I will test 'AutoOptimizeTreeRadical=1' when I get home. Does this contract the tree on exit/open?
Anyone know of a way for the search to automatically remove itself when the last label/tag is unchecked? I would like it to go back to the same folder it was in before the search.
Right now, after unchecking the last selected label/tag, the quick search bar stays open with "" /L as the search.
