Hi all,
I'm using the XYPlorer Free 14.30.0300 but I still have this problem ever since I used earlier version of XYPlorer.
The problem is when I click the mouse button, it doesn't select the item in the List Pane right away . There seems to be a delay of some sort until mouse click can register again so it becomes quite annoying especially when I try to select multiple items. I have to click several times until the click can register an item select again.
Is this a configuration problem? Bug? Or because of the free version?
Thanks.

I don't think it's the free version. I also experience this kind of sluggish response, but only in folders with lots of files (>8,000). What's more, entering such a huge folder also takes several seconds before its content shows up in list view.
What are your list view settings? Maybe we can track this down together, do you have custom columns set up? Details view? What sort order?

Does it happen with a fresh version too? Do you have any security software in background?

Enable this option:
Tools->Config->File Info Tips->Show info tips only when hovering file icon
Does it help?

Re: Problems with selecting items with mouse click
Hmm, "Show info tips only when hovering file icon" has been enabled all along. Might try other view settings. Any ideas what other settings take a heavy toll on getting list view ready for display?
However, some managers take time to build the list AFTER entering the folder, but at least you see something happening, getting to watch the progress is better than double-clicking again which renders XY completely unresponsive.
BTW, on the second go-around XY will open these large folders right away, the wait time occurs on first encounters only.
Fresh ini makes no difference. I don't have the rights to exempt XY from security scans, but by the same token these scans are bound to happen with other managers as well. But no delays elsewhere, including Win Explorer, they all enter the folder right away.Marco wrote:Does it happen with a fresh version too? Do you have any security software in background?

Re: Problems with selecting items with mouse click
My security software is Symantec Endpoint Protection but I think that should not affect XYPlorer as I don't experience the same problem with Windows Explorer.
The number of files in most of my folders don't exceed thousands either.
I'm not so sure but now that someone mentions about view setting I was thinking if the problem might happen more often in Thumbnails view (I switch mainly between Detail and Thumbnail View). I have to check on this again.
I don't have any particular columns set up (sometimes I re-arrange the columns or sort based on modified date; standard stuff) but if I recall correctly I have the problem even before I started playing with different views, filters, etc.
