:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

:info: When attaching an Image, please use the Attachment tab at the bottom of your post and click "Add files".

Can't find contents of files

Post by n2k »

[edit]
Nevermind, updated from 14.20.0100 to 14.50.0100 and it's fixed.
the tiny bug below is still there though
[/edit]

When doing a search via Find Files with these search options:
Name: *.properties
This lists all files with the extention .properties, so far so good.

Now opening one of the files listed during the search, and finding a using a word that's inside that file, for example: key1
Then doing another search with these options:
Name: *.properties
Contents: key1
(rest of the search filters are unchecked, and the Contents search options are default)
Doesn't show any results :(, saying: This view is empty. (in the status bar the same amount of files & folders are scanned)
Even when disabling the name filter and just having the Contents filter on, doesn't find anything either.

tiny bug: when having the info panel opened before on another tab, then pressing Shift+F to open the Find Files tab, it opens the correct section, but the tab itself isn't bold/activated, it's still on the previous tab that was active before closing the panel. Pressing Shift+F again, while the info panel is already open, will highlight bold/activate the Find Files tab.

With that selected it still doesn't find results.

Some more information: it's not specific to .properties files.
I'm using version 14.20.0100

it seems that updating to 14.50.0100 has solved this problem, updated the first post accordingly :ugeek:
