In XYplorer you can sort files in random order by right clicking > Sort By > Random Order, or ctrl+alt+R. However, when you close XYplorer and re-open, the order goes back to alpha-numerical. How do I save a random order list?
Thank you!

Re: Save a random order list?
Thanks, Admin. That is just what I neededCheck out Paper Folders: http://www.xyplorer.com/release_14.30.htm#PF
Can you answer another related question? Can I add paper folders to a catalog? I've tried this, but I can only either add a link to the text file, a link that opens the text file, or a list of the items in the paper folder that goes to the real files instead of the virtual ones.
Another question is, how can I go to my paper folders other than view>paper folders>open? If I am at the "paper" folder (app data>roaming>XYplorer>paper. I am looking at the text files) is there a way to open them up by clicking them? Because clicking them just opens up the text files.
I'll post these questions as a separate topic also. Thank you!

Re: Save a random order list?
The naming convention for Paper Folders is "paper:[name]". So the magic prefix "paper:" will solve all your questions. See here:

Thanks again, Admin. That doesn't quite answer those questions, but it does help. Anyways, I've just figured out solutions myself.

Re: Save a random order list?
Hi stebobibo,
1. Open any existing paper folder in any tab of your liking.
2. In the target catalog right click on any category and click on Insert as New Item(s) Here>Current Tab Location to add the folder as a click target.
Cheers, FH
At least I could do the following:stebobibo wrote:Can you answer another related question? Can I add paper folders to a catalog?
