Delay with big files

Post by itsme28m »

Hi,

When i have some big files in a folder, from >500MB trough more then 1GB, then there is a delay when i click once on the file, also double clicking on it to open it takes a bit longer.

I thought this was normal, but when i did the same with internet explorer, there was no delay, even not when opening the file.

Maybe there is an option to turn of so that there is not such a delay?

There is also a delay when you click on the file above it (the smaller file), and then click on the down key to go one file down to the bigger file.

The delay is between 2 to 4 seconds on a dual core 2 (6600) system with windows xpsp2.

Greetings,

Steve

Exactly the same behavior for my XY as well. :(
I just thought that it might be due to "Korean" Windows environment. Now, I suspect that it may not be the case.

Try to turn off "Show file info tips".

Ah, good. So we found the cause of it.

If you are still interested in file info tips, you can show file info tips only when hovering the icon. (see the third checkbox on the "file info tips" configuration tab)
