:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

customize toolbar

Post by surrender »

Three problems:

1. Please make customize toolbar available on all buttons (as of now it is not there on back, fore and up button). For some reason i always right click on them (maybe because they are closest reach on my set-up) trying to customize toolbar and have to look for another button for customizing. Alternatively, maybe a button for customizing toolbar.

2. Throw a message when i click "remove all" while customizing toolbars. When i mistakenly did this sometime back i forgot do "restart XY without saving" which would have saved me, but alas i lost my fav toolbars. (hint: dont forget the newbies).

3. "remove all" doesnt seem to work at all. It exactly does the opposite, i.e. fills the entire toolbar with all the buttons.

Probably because they popup a defined menu (History, Breadcrumb, etc) and not a menu of their own, like others do.

Just a quick note here: If you hit "Remove all" or do anything you finally don't like, you can press "Reset" to get your things back to how your TB is right now, or you can press "Cancel" and nothing will be done/changed/saved! Then you can go back to customizing again ;)

Not exactly, I think this should be rephrased a bit: "Remove All" does what it should, and remove all buttons. But, if one validates his TB setup with no buttons in it (eg. after a Remove All) then the TB will be filled with all possible buttons (since it can't be empty).
Maybe this could be changed indeed, and instead of using all buttons using the default TB setup, as done when starting XY for the first time (w/ no INI).

But still one could have it at the end of the list.

 that was stupid of me not to try the cancel or reset. But I thought reset was to undo the up/down maybe reset can go under remove all button.

Yeah, its kind of hard to imagine that "remove all" will fill the toolbar with all icons. somewhat counter-intuitive for me.
