"Background Processing" option grayed out

When I go to Configuration, under "File Operations" I cannot interact with either of the "Background Processing" options, either "Enable ..." or "Queue file operations." Obviously, as a result I cannote use XYplorer while transferring files. Any ideas why those options are not accessible to me?

These features are not available in the Freeware edition. But of course you still can use XY for transferring files.
