Hi all,
I was searching for a good file tagging application and came across XY. It is good at tagging, but also much more. A big thank you to the developer for creating something so useful and not gimmicky.
I realize there is a tag.dat file in the XY directory that contains the tag info, but I was wondering if there was an alternative way of storing tags for the following scenario:
Is it possible to tag dropbox files and utilize the tags when accessing the same dropbox in XY on a computer from which the tags did not originate? example: apply tags using XY on work PC, but searching tags using XY on home PC?

Re: Dropbox and tagging
My best guess is that yes, you can - placing tags.dat there, your dropbox folder, plus pointing to it in both XY installments, work and home, using admin.ini.
I'll try to locate online examples to provide some background to my guess in the next minutes.
