I want to assign alt-d to take me to my Dropbox folder. I've found the 'add directory to toolbar' button, but it seems I can't assign a keyboard shortcut to a user-defined toolbar button. My next option was to use scripting, but I can't find a way to directly call a certain script upon a shortcut press either (just get a menu with all user-defined scripts to open).
So, is there a way to do it?

Hi and welcome to the club!
The feature you're after is called User-Defined Commands, UDC for short.
You'll want to create a new Go-to command that points to your folder and then assign it a keyboard shortcut.
This tour should help get you started.
Hope that helps!
