I see more shares with the latest beta. But I don't see the specific path that I'm trying to access. Strange, huh?

(By the way, yesterday I finally bought a license, so now I'm a full member of the club!)

Extremely strange! Damn.
Do you have "show system files and folders" ON?

Thanks for joining the club!

Nope.

I can see \\companyweb in the network neighbourhood list, but when I click on it it's still blank in the list view :(

With .22, I can see more shares than I could see before. But I do not see the folder I'm looking for. XY only takes me to the first couple of folders or shares, and seems to stop there.

(And the full path does show up in Windows Explorer.)

Weird. I mean, I have a *lot* of users that use the nethood without such problems.

1. How many folders are shown and how many should be shown?

2. It is assumed that all this is happening in the primary workgroup/domain. Correct?

1. I'm afraid I cannot answer this with any precision. Sorry.... will try to piece together more info tomorrow (gone most of this day).

2. I would say the answer is no. This is a location not mapped to a letter drive and not normally a location I use or have access to. Yet again.... it shows up in Windows Explorer successfully. Sorry, but my limited expertise with Windows file and network conventions limits my ability to be more clear, I'm afraid.

What I may be able to do is ask our IT folks if there's anything "special" about the way they set up this location..... and then pass along what they tell me to you (but later).

Just the top level computer, nothing else of the share is shown. Approx 9 other machines show with all the shares you would expect, including the main file server which is on the same machine as \\companyweb

In WE nethood's (or "Network places") tree, you can see in which "workgroup" (or "domain") your server is located. I did not list this information in XY because I currently only support the primary/default workgroup.

I've found out more info from our IT group about the network location that does not show up in XY but does show up in Windows Explorer: it's a virtual file system using Microsoft DFS.

Does this info give you any more to work with?

Thanks. I'll see what I can do.
