Keeping deleted items in Recent Locations

Is it intentional that folders deleted using XY are still kept in Recent Locations? I can understand zombie entries being created if folders are deleted outside of XY, but I can't think of the reason why folders deleted inside XY itself aren't removed from Recent Locations. At least for deletions that are done as permanent deletions.

+1 for the the idea of a tweak or setting to remove deleted entries from the recent locations list... is this possible?

They might be just unavailable now. Or restored later. Or rebuilt later. I like to have them there and if it's just for reference.
