Color filters versus AeroLite on Windows 8.1

Post by jacksonmacd »

Have been using color filters in XY successfully on Win 7. Got a new Win8.1 computer and learning its quirks.

The Windows Taskbar is partially transparent, which I find annoying. Found a workaround which involves using the AeroLite theme (workaround is found here: http://www.eightforums.com/customizatio ... acity.html)

Once the AeroLite theme was enabled, the color filters in XY did not work properly. When I select a colored file or folder, it becomes displayed as white-on-white (instead of the desired color), thus is unreadable.

I reverted to the Aero theme, and the XY color filters work properly again.

Update: meanwhile you might wanna try this: go to the color filters config list, and recolor all black text/foreground color to something else. Just a little change should be enough. Say, change black texts to red:1,green:1,blue:1
