2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

off-screen FindFiles fields

Post by calvin »

In lower right pane, right edge fields are off screen when Find Files tab is selected, This is not a monitor-resolution issue since upper right pane is fully visible. Please tell me how to fix this?

I'm new.
When I try to upload screenshot, error msg says "bmp extension not allowed."
When I change *.jpg, it says "Image file type mismatch: expected extension bmp but extension jpg given."
Rock and a hard place.

Whatever you use for the screenshot should be able to create a JPEG. If not I recommend FSCapture.

OK, it's free, but it's also pretty small.

How about this: press PrintScreen, open microsoft paint, press ctrl+v, crop the relevant area, save as jpg (or png) and upload here?

The error messages i quoted above kinda ruled out jpg & png...and I was indeed using mspaint, cropped to reduce to an acceptable size.

But nevermind. I just found a solution. Grab the right hand edge of the navigation pane & drag it left until the FindFiles window is in full view.

Drag right and the FindFiles pane disappears off screen to the right.

Thanks for the help.
