Mixed Column - Quick Question

After setting the item filters for individual Custom columns, when such custom columns are included within a mixed column, do we need to set the item filter for the mixed column as well.

If I don't set any filter it shows as *.* but I trust it is fetched only for those items that have been filtered by the included columns.

CC1 - avi;mp4;wmv
CC2 - jpg;png
CC3 Mixed with CC1 and CC2 - *.*

Is it active only for avi;mp4;wmv;jpg;png

Yes, it should use those filters.
