Newbie Question - Resizing File and Folder Icons
Hi, I downloaded XYplorer Free as a test, and quite like it. There is one thing I can't figure out how to do. Is there a way to resize the folder and file icons that show up in the panes? They seem to be of a fixed size, which is a bit small for my high density display. Thanks!

Hi and welcome!
Are they smaller than on the screenshot here?

If yes, could you provide a screenshot?

Re: Newbie Question - Resizing File and Folder Icons
Hi, thanks for replying. I have attached two screen shots, one of Xyplorer and one of Windows Explorer, both looking at the same folder. You can see that the Windows Explorer shot has larger icons - it supports scaling the icons. For the Xyplorer view, I have set the View to Large Tiles, which is the largest presentation format I could find. Still, it is smaller than the Explorer version, which prompted my question.
...and now the Windows Explorer view of the same folder:
Is there a way to scale the size of the icons used by Xyplorer?

In XY these are 48x48 currently. In WE it looks like 80x80. Takes a lot of space, doesn't it?
I plan a "Huge Tiles" view for a later version. This should satisfy you.

Re: Newbie Question - Resizing File and Folder Icons
Hi, thanks. Sounds good. My guess is that 64x64 would be plenty.
Rather than Huge Tiles, could you just offer a drop down selection with the Large Tiles (and Large Icons) View setting that offered the current 48x48, plus two additional selections, 64x64 and 80x80?
Please note that despite raising a concern on icon sizing, I am very impressed with what I have seen of Xyplorer so far, and will continue to experiment with it. I have loved dual pane file managers for a long time, and the flexibility and ease of use that Xyplorer brings to this concept is quite impressive. Thanks for a great product.
