1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

Junction-Issue

Post by No.INI »

At first I want 2 thank you all the Dev-Team of this wonderful work, also for the free version and good price for the Commercial version.
Obviously I'm very happy with this software. :appl:
The only thing (I don’t know if I could call it a bug, because of technical possibilities) is the opening the junction-folder:

I reorganized the USER-folder to another Partition using Junctions.
As I open any folder on my desktop (which is also in this junction, on another partition and because of fully integration of XY in the System) XY-opens on the Tree-View the DIR under the C-Partition (which is OK, as I prefer to get shown the DIR through "User-DIR" right after the "SYSTEM"-root at the highest level, but ok...)

BUT:
If I double-click at the right window (detailed preview) to go one folder up, XY opens this step (at the same windows on the right side) by showing the tree view of the junction on the other partition which makes the tree view confusing by lots of sub-dirs.

I'm asking you, if you could correct this behaviour on the next update maybe, that by double-clicking on the empty place of the right windows, the tree windows shows the junction as previous config (treating the junction as a real folder and don't show the real junction also).
THX
Regards

From an heavy user of junctions myself: F9 > F3 > type without quotes "resolve junctions" > double click on the resulting item > untick the highlighted setting > click OK
