May i ask for display setting when using "go=>tablist" ?

Post by mig »

Hi, i just ask for an option sothat the user can set how the tab name display when using "go=>tablist" command
here's what i want :
i set settings => tab => tab captions to "folder only"
and the tab displays folder's name only, it's fine ,but i want an option that when we use "go=>tablist" command , the tab items in the list will be shown as full path name ,not depends on what we set to "tab captions" as above

(i mean the display settings in "go=>tablist" command should not depend on the "tab captions" settings )

Thank you and sorry for bad english

Would it be enough to append the full path in brackets? I also think that this is a good idea.

For example:

Code: Select all

E: Audio [E:\Test\CustomColumns\Audio]
E: Scripts [E:\XY\XYplorer.dev\code\appdata\Scripts]
E: Icons [E:\XY\XYplorer\appdata\Icons]

Thank you, i'm so glad to hear that, it 's will be easier for us if we have the full path like that
Thanks again ^^

i know ,but it 's only a setting for tab caption, and i ask for setting in tablist view (when using "go=>tablist") ?
if we set for tab captions , the view setting in tablist view will be change ,too ,and i ask for a independent setting for tablist view

mig, I think LittleBiG's actual point was that Don has already added it to the latest beta release - though he did so as silently as a :ninja:.

You can give it a twirl right now to see if it satisfies your needs. ;)

It's something that we know to check at least DAILY around here! :appl:
Sometimes you have to look even more often than that and when Don's on holiday/vacation, it's understandably very quiet...
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.
