Open folder in new tab when not using "multiple instances"

Post by kiwichick »

Hi there, In Configuration I have "Allow multiple instances" unchecked. But when I open a folder from a source outside XYplorer, it opens using the current XYplorer tab rather than opening in a new tab. This is a real pain if the folder in the current tab is also required. Have I missed a setting somewhere or is there no way to make it open using a new tab? Cheers.

From any other application that opens folders. My Everything search program, for one. Selecting "Open file location" from any file's Properties, for another.

The settings I mentioned above - "Allow multiple instances" unchecked. What other settings do you mean?

Hi Don, Did you see this? Is there a way to stop this behaviour and create a new tab when a folder is opened opened from an external application? Cheers.
