I used to use a program that is no longer available that had a single keystroke to create a new subdirectory under the cursor. In XY you have to go to right click, create new subfolder here. It would be nice to have a key dedicated to this. In this other program, it was the insert key. It was simple and effective. Thanks, again, for allowing the opportunity for input.

Easier subdirectory creation.

I'd suspect that once custom shortcut keys is added, you'd be able to define a value for this...given that present shortcut is Cntl+N, which is just one additional key at same time...(so does that really count as two keystokes?)
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!

CTRL+SHIFT+N is the shortcut for a new file, FYI. This comes in quite handy, too.kcaudell wrote:I didn't realize that CNTL-N was the shortcut. Thanks!!

I was wondering how one cannot be aware of this. And indeed, the tree's context menu "new folder" command caption lacked the shortcut! Fixed in next version.kcaudell wrote:I didn't realize that CNTL-N was the shortcut.
