Re: ***** What are the best file managers for Windows? *****
Added my vote. It was pure coincidence I saw this. You should make a smallish XYplorer update just to make a call for voting in the release notes. Then at least the most curious among your users will learn about this voting. I have added a pro as well (keyboard support). And a con, although for some...

Re: 1 item is hidden. (show)
Thanks for the explanation.
The '1 item is hidden' is not displayed in the status bar by the way but right below 'This view is empty'. Maybe '1 hidden item skipped' or '1 hidden item ignored' would be clearer. But then again, maybe not.

Re: 1 item is hidden. (show)
Thanks highend. The tooltip indicated: (see Configuration | Tree and List) And indeed, after checking 'Show hidden files and folders' (I tried some others as well), the view now just says: This view is empty. i.e. without the '1 item is hidden.' Does that mean Search ignored one file, because it was...

1 item is hidden. (show)
A search for a file I just did resulted in in the following: This view is empty. 1 item is hidden. Not being a power-user, I don't actually know right now why that file is hidden. I was wondering how to find out if this might be the file I was actually searching for. It might be useful if there was ...

Find (Ctrl + F) in Quick File View for text files
With many search-related wishes already posted I'd like to ask for another one: I repeatedly find myself pressing Ctrl + F when I have a text file open in Quick File View and being confused when nothing happens :? I think the functionality doesn't need to be as sophisticated as in today's text edito...

Re: Better update system
I'm pretty sure the What's new page you are taken to from the 'there's a new version' dialog had a link that when clicked, started to download the new version directly. Now, it has a Download link at the top (nex to Buy) that takes you to the page where you can click another link to start the downlo...

Well, that is the Download link to the Download linkadmin wrote:The Download link is there. Top row navigation.
Before the re-design, the 'there's a new version' dialog box took you to a web page where you could download the new version directly.

Re: Better update system
While this never bothered me too much, I actually think it got worse with the web site re-design. While before there was a download link on the what's new page, that doesn't seem to be the case anymore, or is it?

Re: Treat dot files as hidden
I can't seem to get rid of the Visual Filter I set on that folder. Isn't clearing the pattern and saving the config enough? If I do that, as soon as I re-enter the folder, the visual filter is back and on. The VF has probably latched onto the folder view settings. Go to the ailing folder. Then sele...

Ghost - a short story John was working late hours. They had reached a major milestone that day and all that was left to be done was to package it all up nice and tight so it could go out to their customers. Thinking about their customers made him smile. After all, they paid his salary. His thoughts...

Re: Treat dot files as hidden
I'm fine with either. If you go for a separate group being able to quickly show and hide them again via a keyboard shortcut and/or toolbar button would be important to me though.
