The '1 item is hidden' is not displayed in the status bar by the way but right below 'This view is empty'. Maybe '1 hidden item skipped' or '1 hidden item ignored' would be clearer. But then again, maybe not.

Before the re-design, the 'there's a new version' dialog box took you to a web page where you could download the new version directly.

While this never bothered me too much, I actually think it got worse with the web site re-design. While before there was a download link on the what's new page, that doesn't seem to be the case anymore, or is it?

I can't seem to get rid of the Visual Filter I set on that folder. Isn't clearing the pattern and saving the config enough? I think it should definitely apply to the tree and to folders!

I'm fine with either. If you go for a separate group being able to quickly show and hide them again via a keyboard shortcut and/or toolbar button would be important to me though.
