Re: List of frequently opened folders
Success, many thanks Ralph. Do not understand why it may be a "shame" I am working with 400,000 images in 7,917 folders I cannot understand how tabs would be a benefit The Tree structure is the fastest I have found. If I search for say "Mangrove Apple" in 400,000 F3 gets me there...

Re: double-click on a pic, opening the image in full screen?
I agree with Phred My images open as an ACDSee image, but it is within XYPlorer It is just instantaneous and seamless. Not sure why I persevere with ACDSee, it can be persnickety I think it has tiny perks, that others don't have, like "convert" (gifs to Jpg) etc Same as I use an adjunct so...

Re: double-click on a pic, opening the image in full screen?
I do that in XYPlorer, and have done since the beginning I know of no other way. My images are opened with ACDSee from XYplorer I click on a thumbnail, and it opens to full size I can then scroll to next adjancent images at full size using the wheel mouse You have 3 sizes you can set within XYP for ...

Re: Best photo viewer
For my 500,000 images
when I first boot and use XYPlorer, it takes around 30-40 seconds to find any text string.
After that, it is almost instant, for any other random search, Fabulously fast.

Re: List of frequently opened folders
Subsidiary query
There is a line of folder links at the top of my page
I was wondering if that hampers the speed of my computer
or, what use may be made of them?
I usually employ the Tree links left hand of screen to open any one of my 500 folders
Thank you

Confirmation: Changing scroll width, Win 11 Pro, and 2025 XYP
This was my preferred setting at -355
It changes both the tree and pane scroll button.

Re: [Solved] Help with Pane 2 (tabsets) -- can't close ...
This was interesting, I share your thoughts on the dual pane
I always found it irritating,
I like to work with a single pane.
Selected the "always keep the first pane visable"

Re: Best photo viewer
I work with 500,000 images +
Always use XYPlorer for viewing, nothing else comes close, in my opinion.
Use "Duck Link Screen Capture" Free and easy
Use Fast Stone viewer ONLY for "Contact Sheet Builder"
Use "Picasa 3" for quick rotate and crop jobs (50 images +)

Re: Screen Capture Util
I have used DUCK LINK SCREEN CAPTURE for years
Nary a problem for general use
CAVEAT : If you download from some links, you may get an un-asked for AVG app file, be wary

Re: Moving to an identical image with Suffix
Backup. Was not aware of that. Interesting. It would not have helped in this case, I had XY on Win7 that was taking an hour to boot. Fearing I would lose 500Gb I "copied" everything to Win 10 box (8 hrs) (was a dodgy PSU) My decision then was to buy "Macrium" As soon as I get my ...

Re: Moving to an identical image with Suffix
Again, Thank you Well, that was weird, I went the regedit route on this XY (2019 ver) and it worked a treat, a big fat scrollbar. (-355 if I recall) My lifetime version (offline) I am not game to try it just yet still trying other things The new version has weird settings, say in a folder of 2000 im...

Re: Moving to an identical image with Suffix
Hope this does not appear petty,
Is there a way to increase the "Scroll button" size?
wider with a stronger look to the button, not just a flimsy line.
I move hundreds perhaps thousands of stamp images a week,
and I find the tiny button an irritation.
Thanks
