Re: Hangs while attempting to navigate network drives.
Last entry from me on this issue. As it turns out, my company runs some security software that is causing the problems. I tried another file manager and it too hangs when attempting to access network drives. Downloaded a utility called process monitor from sysinternals and it shows me how "Big ...

Re: Hangs while attempting to navigate network drives.
I tried a fresh copy of XYplorer in it's own folder and I still have the problem. I also tried running Windows explorer to hit each network drive prior to running XYplorer, the problem remains.

Re: Hangs while attempting to navigate network drives.
I did a little more poking around, I cannot find an option in the XYplorer config that seems to make this problem go away. Here are some more observations: 1. I can reproduce the problem if I go to the network folder that is most problematic, I then arrow down in the folder tree while the file pane ...

Re: Hangs while attempting to navigate network drives.
OK. On the network location that used to hang most frequently, it takes a very long time before the directories appear (almost 1 minute). I use Windows explorer at the same network location and the directories appear right away, I'm confident my network connection is good. I'm open to more ideas but...

Re: Hangs while attempting to navigate network drives.
Thanks for the info. I just made all of the changes, I'll reply back if I continue to see problems. Maybe an enhancement suggestion would be a single config checkbox to optimize for network performance (the config tool in XYplorer could then make all these changes automatically and maybe grey them o...

Hangs while attempting to navigate network drives.
Hello, I posted (mostly) the following to support@xyplorer.com but no response for a couple days now so I'll resend it here. I’ve been a multi-year user of XYplorer and generally very happy with the product. Recently I upgraded to Windows 7 and at the same time I upgraded to the latest XYplorer (tri...

Re: Stackable tabs, allow tabs on more than one row.
Thanks for the pointer. I changed to LayoutSP=3 and that did the trick. :D I would still like to see "tab wrap" option in the future. :) Maybe now with the dual pane modifications that came in v8.00 a tab wrap option is much easier to achieve. Thanks again for the speedy response.

Re: Stackable tabs, allow tabs on more than one row.
Guys, It's me again. I just upgraded to the latest XYplorer v8.70 and I lost some of my precious tab space. It seems the folder list now cuts into the space where I used to have tabs, whereas the tab row used to span the entire width of the XYplorer window (v7.90). I'm guessing somebody else request...

Thanks to both of you for responding to my post. Well now I'm bummed, I use a bunch of mapped network drives and there's just too many tabs to put on one line (even with the flexible width feature). I tried to iconize but it's just not working for me (they all look the same, even with custom icons i...

Stackable tabs, allow tabs on more than one row.
I really like the tab feature. I find myself running out of tab space on a single row. Please create an option to enable tabs on multiple rows.
Maybe add a configuration option for 'Tabs'.
"Enable tabs on < # > row(s)"
And the user enters a value for #.
Thank You.
