Re: Deselecting item in List causes Properties Panel to go blank
It's very intuitive the way it is, especially now that I know that's the ONLY way such a thing can ever be. It's very satisfying how helpful your replies are. My time spent reporting issues I encounter when trying to do normal file management things is time well spent. :D It's rare to find sof...

Deselecting item in List causes Properties Panel to go blank
With the Properties pane visible in the Info Panel, multi-select some files in the List (either by Ctrl+clicking or by Ctrl+a), then while holding Ctrl click on one of the items to remove it from the multi-selection. The Properties Panel goes blank, even though several items are still selected. Then...

Re: Can't edit lnk files in Start Menu folders or choose 'Open File Location'
Modifying the properties of pre-existing lnk files (which are the vast majority of files that make up the start menu) in the filesystem. Does that definition help you? I assume from your question that you were unable to tell that from the context of this conversation. XYplorer is obviously no good f...

Re: Can't edit lnk files in Start Menu folders or choose 'Open File Location'
This is the case for every lnk file in my start menu that I've checked. The example I showed, Microsoft Word, is just one of hundreds of examples. So I guess I just have to use File Explorer when doing anything start menu related?

Can't edit lnk files in Start Menu folders or choose 'Open File Location'
When accessing either the user start menu folder, or the All Users start menu folder using XYplorer, when viewing the properties of .lnk files the path shown is wrong, and therefore the .lnk file's properties cannot be changed and it's also impossible to use the 'Open File Location' button because t...

Re: Windows 11 keeps asking "Select an app to open this .JPG file"
Well it seems the current userbase (well, the ones in the forum anyway), aren't too interested in the fact that XYplorer doesn't work well with the built-in Photos app. Well, the current status is now slightly different (whether that's due to the way 24.80 works or due to an update to the Photos app...

Re: Windows 11 keeps asking "Select an app to open this .JPG file"
So the summary is: if you want XYplorer to open image files in the default, built-in app in Windows 11 called 'Photos', you cannot have it do so without an annoying prompt each time asking what application you want to use. In other words, on a new, fresh, healthy installation of Windows 11, (like ma...

Re: Some folders no longer have icons on the tabs
Yes, I can confirm, it is caused by the iPhone being connected. When I make sure to disconnect my iPhone, then all the icon problems go away.

Re: Some folders no longer have icons on the tabs
It actually affects ALL the folders within the user profile directory. I've just given a few examples so far. It even affects ordinary folders that I've created myself, which just have a normal folder icon. Anything that I browse to, using the short path, within the user profile folder, is affected....

Re: Some folders no longer have icons on the tabs
Out of ideas at the moment. :| Does my previous reply about locked tree not help with figuring out what's happening? To summarize, with the default tree the folder icons are missing only from the breadcrumb bar, and with a locked tree the folder icons are missing from the breadcrumb bar and the tab...
