Re: Can't downgrade version
There was never an additional button on this dialog. Yes, that's the problem I'm reporting. It asks a question and doesn't give a button or give any indication of what to type or what to do. Is there a point you're making? Can't figure out what value your post added. The reason for my post is that ...

Re: Turning off any monitor creates minimized taskbar icon for XYplorer (from system tray only)
Thanks, so far so good with 27.20.0711, after just a single test of turning each monitor off. But I'll keep an eye on the situation over the next few days, through a few cycles of turning monitors off, putting PC to sleep, etc. and let you know if I spot the issue again.

Re: Turning off any monitor creates minimized taskbar icon for XYplorer (from system tray only)
I suspect the changes below may have something to do with it. For now, I've tried downgrading to v27.20.0300 (i.e. the version before any of those changes were made) and then tested turning off each of my monitors 3 times, and so far the problem has not occurred. When turning off monitors connected ...

Re: Can't downgrade version
Pressing 'y' seems to have worked. But I'm pretty sure there was meant to be a button to press.

Re: Turning off any monitor creates minimized taskbar icon for XYplorer (from system tray only)
I spoke too soon. Issue is back. What a strange issue. Oh well, every time I come back to my PC and turn the monitors back on, XYplorer will be active on the taskbar again. If nothing in XYplorer changed, maybe it's a Windows 11 bug. How bizarre.

Re: Turning off any monitor creates minimized taskbar icon for XYplorer (from system tray only)
I think my hunch about the NVIDIA display drivers being a possible culprit was correct. I've just installed their latest hotfix driver (591.67) which fixes a system tray bug they introduced on 4 December, and after testing turning off my monitors now, XYplorer stays in the tray only, as expected.

Turning off any monitor creates minimized taskbar icon for XYplorer (from system tray only)
I have XYplorer always running in the background in the system tray when its window is closed ('Minimize to tray on X close'). Since some very recent version of XYplorer (32-bit) I notice that whenever I turn off any of my 2 monitors (both connected by DisplayPort), XYplorer becomes active in a mini...

Re: Deselecting item in List causes Properties Panel to go blank
It's very intuitive the way it is, especially now that I know that's the ONLY way such a thing can ever be. It's very satisfying how helpful your replies are. My time spent reporting issues I encounter when trying to do normal file management things is time well spent. :D It's rare to find sof...

Deselecting item in List causes Properties Panel to go blank
With the Properties pane visible in the Info Panel, multi-select some files in the List (either by Ctrl+clicking or by Ctrl+a), then while holding Ctrl click on one of the items to remove it from the multi-selection. The Properties Panel goes blank, even though several items are still selected. Then...

Re: Can't edit lnk files in Start Menu folders or choose 'Open File Location'
Modifying the properties of pre-existing lnk files (which are the vast majority of files that make up the start menu) in the filesystem. Does that definition help you? I assume from your question that you were unable to tell that from the context of this conversation. XYplorer is obviously no good f...

Re: Can't edit lnk files in Start Menu folders or choose 'Open File Location'
This is the case for every lnk file in my start menu that I've checked. The example I showed, Microsoft Word, is just one of hundreds of examples. So I guess I just have to use File Explorer when doing anything start menu related?
