Show columns based on filename content
I'd like to see a mechanism that maps pre-defined tags in filenames to be filtered and mapped to columns in the file list. eg. of one has filenames of the form: <Name>[Year][Format-Audio][Format-Video][Rating] Then one could enter these into a filename tags list such that: That tag is not shown in t...

Re: Script idea: IMDB check
Hi, When I last looked at this (above)there was a partial workaround, but I ended up not using it due to whatever inadequacies were present... I see some comments above about upcoming/missing functionality that would help the cause. Any comment about improvements in this are in the current release? ...

Re: Connecting to mapped network drive after Windows has boo
Howdy, I'm currently running V9.2, and while very happy with the tool, do regularly find that XY doesn't cope aswell as windas explorer when it comes to navigating around mapped network drieves, especially when connectivity to those drives is flakey. Has anything changed in this area since V9.2? I c...

Re: Connecting to mapped network drive after Windows has booted
Ahh, good - I wasn't aware there was an F4 for tree list like F5 for the file list! Yes, my initial test just now certainly showed it working as expected. Thanks!
Having said that, it would be good if XY were to figure this out like Win Explorer does... but then I don't know the code.
Stu.

Re: Connecting to mapped network drive after Windows has booted
Here's my version of this problem. see attached. I have a cmd script to map drives depending on whether at home or work. Just before taking that grab, I had the script switch me from home drives (just a few, as seen on the left) to work drives (5-6 mappings) and in this state, the right pane will pr...

Re: Auto complete not working in Go To
The default shortcut for that is Ctrl+Alt+A, but you can change it using Tools->Customize Keyboard Shortcuts. The command can be found under the category Miscellaneous, and then "Focus Functions->Focus Address Bar". (Or you can type Ctrl+Alt+A into the Press New shortcut field and it will...

Re: Script idea: IMDB check
Yep, works a treat! Thanks :) One question though... the only way I seem to be able to access it is via File-OpenWith. The ContextSensetiveMenu:OpenWith doesn't show it (presume this one is windows generated). Can I have such an entry appear on the root of the ContextSensetiveMenu ? :) Perhaps the f...

Script idea: IMDB check
Hi all. Here's a (somewhat self-serving) script idea I'd love to see created. Supposing one had a bunch of files with names representing backups of movies, eg: Superman.avi I'd like to be able to right-click and run that script and have it fire-off a URL in a browser that searches for that name (wit...

Re: Slow network dir nav in Vista
Yep, Explorer does the auto refresh. As for how XY can do same as Explorer... maybe rename xy to explorer.exe, set company to MS, and reverse-engineer their code to figure out how it tells the server its a MS product. Or reset the system clock by 1 second each time you access a directory to...

Re: Slow network dir nav in Vista
Wow... as expected, it works perfectly back on the Office LAN! Very happy! 8) I also confirmed that the same problem occurs with the XP box. It already had that option disabled, hence the good performance. If I enable it, the perf degrades just like on the Vista box. I did some tinkering with creati...
