Re: Directory preview

You might want to check out "hover box", which displays exactly what you're describing when hovering the icon of an item in the tree or list (depending on the settings).

Re: Shortcut to Reconnect all mapped drives

Go to Help/List all commands and find the ID of the command you're looking for (#646 for what you're after here).
Create a user button and have it call that command ID.
Help is your friend with additional info on this.

Re: can't preview raw (dng) files

Yes, you might need a codec pack for it which installs 32-bit preview handlers.

Do the files preview in the regular file explorer? If yes, then it is probably due to the lack of 32-bit versions of the preview handler.

m48tx, for the sake of all forum users here, could you please refrain from quoting the whole previous post in your replies?
It doesn't add anything to the readability of the thread.
Thanks.

Re: erroneous "there is not enough memory" error

I just tried the same with PDF XChange Editor and it resulted in the "File in use" message I would expect in this situation.

Re: auto close non locked tabs?

Why don't you:

1. create a tabset with all the tabs you want to keep open
2. open however many temporary tabs until it gets too crowded
3. just use Tabset/Revert to saved and you have your clean slate back

I have several tabsets for different tasks and switch between them as needed.

Re: The folder background appears as a picture.

Hi there and belated welcome to the forum. Your first post is a wish and the second one is a complaint that your wish doesn't seem to be granted. If you look at a few of the other wishes on this forum and the discussion around them until they either got implemented or declined, you will see that the...

Re: backupto no confirmation

You might want to read up a bit more on the general use of scripting commands and how to skip parameters you don't need while still being able to set the ones you need. While you might not find the exact example for your current problem, there are heaps of examples in the scripting area showing how ...

Re: On restart, active tabs switch back to "this pc"

Next question then, are you using any special startup script that might be responsible for this?

And finally, your settings for Save on Exit include Tabs (as seen below)?
