Re: Having problem when opening photo in XYplorer.

Well, I'm the wrong one to test this as I don't have any problem opening them with either Enter or my POM entries that trigger by dbl-click.

Re: Having problem when opening photo in XYplorer.

On dbl-click and Enter the jpg is opened with the first entry (Windows Photo Viewer) in my POM list as expected, I didn't try this with .0024 though. The standard app to open file types not sticking when selected from within XY seems somewhat familiar from the past. Didn't we discuss and solve such ...

Re: Having problem when opening photo in XYplorer.

21.10.0024 gave me an Automation Error whenever I tried to access my POM with a jpg selected, in .0025 it works again.
Was this just some side effect or helps trying to fix this problem?

Re: size of pdf MDBU preview

I've switched from the viewer to the editor version a while ago but use the free version only (with limited editing capabilities) but for a quick test you can easily have both versions installed at the same time. On my installation the pdf previews on hover are still very small but it doesn't bother...

Welcome to the forum.

Stop caching folder sizes and the tilde will disappear but at the cost of speed.

Re: Rename directory should tweakable set Archive attribute on *ALL* contained files

Well, I didn't necessarily mean that I wanted to get back into it. After that many years it would be a lot easier to just learn any current language rather than reviving those old dusty memories from my mainframe days when 512MB of storage were packed in HDD's with a stack of 12 platters of 14" disc...

No, because that would search for .do, .doc and .txt
It's a regex, not a dos expression
Okay, my bad. I crawl back under my regex stone.

I have pretty complicated command files written in REXX that do rather a lot more than just XCOPY.
That was a blast from the past for me - I used to do a bit of REXX programming back in my IBM mainframe days some 15+ years ago.
I didn't even know it was used on other platforms as well.

Re: Slow second click to edit comment, and serial edit comment

It wouldn't need to be a slow dbl-click in that situation as a regular dbl-click doesn't trigger a file open in the comments column.

Re: Is it possible to select multiple types in a search?

Shouldn't the regex rather be like this?

Code: Select all

Re: XY extremly slow response (seems freezing) and buggy

The next questions would be: 1. Have you excluded both XYplorer.exe and XYCopy.exe from your AV software (with a few more helper .exe files added recently, maybe even better exclude the whole XY folder)? 2. Have you defined any custom columns which read metadata of every file to provide their conten...

Re: XY extremly slow response (seems freezing) and buggy

Code: Select all

::text get("LoadTimes");
(copy/paste to your address bar) could be your friend as it shows where your XY installation is wasting time on startup.

Re: Drive space left shown in menu

Works good enough for me and doesn't give any error messages anymore even with "$useRemovable = true".
Let's hear if the OP is happy as well, as I was just helping with my results.
