Searching only within selected folders

I'm trying to set up a search template that limits my searches within a certain section of a network drive only to folders named "ds" -- and I realize I could exclude every other folder, but I'm hoping there's some syntax that would let me limit my search *without* excluding a whole of spe...

Re: Status bar

I did not switch regional settings or swap dot and comma as decimal/thousand separator.

Re: Status bar

Re: font size. I don't recall but I think I specified 8 or 9, which for some reason XYplorer converts to a slightly different value (like 8.25). Anyway, my original size did not register properly. Whether that's a Windows issue or an XYplorer issue, I don't know.

Re: Status bar

Aha! Thanks Jacky. It was my font choice that did it. I changed the font, and now I can see what I expect in the status bar. And apparently it wasn't the font itself (Tahoma), but the size I specified. I'll watch out for this in the future. Thanks!

Re: Status bar

So I have an empty status bar. Hmmm, anyone else ever encounter this? I'm expecting to see the number of files in the pane, etc.

Status bar

I'm using 8.50. I cannot display the status bar at the bottom of the window. I am not seeing how to turn it on in the help system, or as an option in the configuration dialog box. Am I simply missing the info?

How do I turn on the status bar?

Thanks.

Search tab

I know I set up a separate Search tab in an earlier version of XY, but now I can't find where to do this. Help says: "In Configuration/Advanced, you can choose where the search results shall be listed: on the Current tab, a New tab, or a tab called "Search results" (automatically crea...

Re: Default columns

As of today, I'm still having to revert to the default columns. I restored the defaults -- and then saved my settings -- more than once. I find that I have to come back and do this again...... and again. This is in version 0026.

Default columns

Just upgraded to beta 7.60.0026 and noticed that extra columns were added to my various tabs. I only want to see Name, Ext, Space, and Modified, but had to manually remove several additional columns (Accessed, Created, Len, Attr, Type) that somehow were added when I began using the new version. Seem...

JC, Sorry about that. I actually did a quick search for "PDF" and did not see the thread you mentioned before I started my post. I don't know the technology used to embed text in a PDF file. I just know some search tools (such as apparently Xplorer2) can find text within a PDF. I understan...

Just a little experiment: I created a PDF containing the string "G.992.3." I used XY to search for "G.992" and "G.992.3" and got nothing. When I searched for "G." I found the PDF file. I could find a similar Word .DOC file with all those strings entered. Anoth...
