Re: Guard Location

Could it still make it by version 14.0 ?

I'm just curious and hopeful for it to make v14...My intention is not to be a nag

Custom Delete - would work like 'custom copy'

I don't know if this has been suggested before. Just as an idea for consideration, a Custom Delete module of settings could be useful for XYplorer. The Custom Delete would have all sorts of interesting features to enable/disable and could include full file and folder secure wiping. Yes I know many s...

Ok granted, but I'm just interested to know what would be the likelihood of 'Guard Location' hitting one of the betas before v14?

Also, what are the technical limitations (if there are any)?

Re: Guard Location

Any news on this Don? Before v14 maybe??

If you believe it should not be connected to tabs (I respect your judgment), then where would be a fitting location to place this feature?

Re: Guard Location

I do lock tabs with my most used folders and deletions are frequent among them. IMO, entry in Right click Tab Context Menu may be a better place. Locking of tabs is exactly what it is (ust the tabs get locked) meaning it does NOT lock the actual directory (folder) itself for preventing changes to h...

Re: Guard Location

Currently other things are on my list, but I'm not totally against the "guard location" idea. I needs more thinking... Ok Don, more time to consider it, that is understandable. I have fingers crossed that if you do implement it that you would do it as a tickbox for Configuration>Tabs --->...

Re: Guard Location

Don I thank you tremendously once again for your kind support :) :) However I cannot find the feature in BETA v13.60.0010 - 2014-01-13 ?? Furthermore it would be ever so nice if this feature could ALSO be accessible via right-clicking on a tab - but hold your horses right-there on this once as I hav...

Re: Accidental Deletion of whole folder in XY ??

Could this topic be moved to the feature requests forum?

I'm interested to read Don's responses on this issue too :)

Re: Accidental Deletion of whole folder in XY ??

Hello Mr Hallgren,

Yes an INI edit would be a good start but I am very UI-centric software user 8)

The Tools>List Management sounds nicer. I also like the inclusion of the naming 'Guard' - so a 'Guard Directory' or 'Guard Location'

I hope Don could agree

Re: Accidental Deletion of whole folder in XY ??

Hi again, I don't think this is the case as I'm certain I'm just pressing Delete 'Del' key while using my cursor Anyways it would be nice if XYplorer had a new critical feature that would be able to 'Lock' or 'Guard' a folder directory through tabs to prevent this nasty accidental thing from happeni...

Guard Location

Greetings XY forum and Happy Christmas, 8) http://i.imgur.com/qiWjTfC.png My situation is that on very few occasions I will select a few image files in a folder directory of mine within XYplorer and then switch over to another program window of a different application only then to return to XYplorer...

Re: XYplorer's 'preview' takes too long to read huge res ima

Yes, but why add an option that only one person needs? So is it more about saving space when you think about adding UI options to the Settings? Just askin The Ini Tweak is already there so the 'option' already exists but for this type of option I just find the Ini Tweak too hidden; hidden away from...

Re: XYplorer's 'preview' takes too long to read huge res ima

Yes, but I had something similar years ago and removed it because lots of users simply did not want any limit. Your are the first asking for this in years. :) Yes but if you look again on my mock-screenshot You would see a tickbox...So when the tickbox is enabled then the max setting limit can be m...

Re: XYplorer's 'preview' takes too long to read huge res ima

Hi again, Even with the " PreviewMaxArea=12000000 " Enabled, Im still finding that some images slip through this net and still have delaying previews. Some examples in my tests are: PNG image @ 1247x9265 PNG image @ 1247x6652 PNG image @ 667x10428 PNG image @ 700x7345 PNG image @ 1116x3038...
