Re: Change the defaults for what columns display.
Thank you, that was it! Now maybe I need to set up a button to restore view to the defaults. To work on the others as I click on them. :) Define your column layout Menu - View - Folder View Settings - Define this Folder View as Default File - Save Settings This won't change columns on other existing...

Change the defaults for what columns display.
I've decided that I don't want to see the Created Date or Accessed Date as columns anymore. I would like to change the default column selection. I know how to turn those two columns off in the current tab, but how do I do that on all tabs and all future tabs? In other words change the defaults of wh...

Re: Colored Tabs?
In order for SirEddie's idea to work, make sure that you have "Tools/Configure/General - Refresh, Icons, History/Enable custom file icons" checked on. Once I figured that out, very cool. :appl: I used this code: \\*\*\>Folder-Red.ico <-- This makes folders on all servers at my company red ...

PDF not displaying with "Mouse Down Blow Up on Icons"
With version 14.50, it's new feature called "Mouse Down Blow Up on Icons" works for everything that I've tried except PDFs. I can see PDFs in the preview of the "Info Panel". Any ideas?

Re: Colored Tabs?
I'll take it one step farther. I was thinking that the color tabs could be automated like with the file names. For example, depending on what directory the tab is located in would show a different color. Why? I have several servers that are really slow when reading. When I'm strolling through the ta...

Re: Help File is Missing
Well it seems to be something to do with the program being on the server. I moved them to my C: drive and now it sort of works. If you pick the help from the help menu it doesn't open anything. But if I double pick on the help file it will open it. I'll just add it to my catalog, problem solved.

Re: Help File is Missing
Its called XYplorer.chm, you can always find it in the latest No-Install Package. http://www.xyplorer.com/download/xyplorer_10.70_beta_noinstall.zip Hmm I have that file and I downloaded the new version. I still don't see the information in the file. I see the Catagorys and there is stuff on the in...

Help File is Missing
I was going to write a Script and I like to pull up the Help so that I can see all the script functions. But my help file seems to be missing or misplaced or not connection to. :? What is the name and location of the help files that come with XYplorer? I have backups but I need to know the name of t...

Re: Too many files selected to pass to 7-zip command line.
This is helpful, but what not sure how to incorporate that as of yet, but I'm still thinking it through. Thanks for your input.Stefan wrote:Perhaps that thread is helpful for you > length of string that can be passed to the command line / use SUBST

Re: Too many files selected to pass to 7-zip command line.
That's indeed very unhelpful. Plan B, though not elegant, would be to have XYplorer create a batch file, with the first line initially creating the archive and adding the first file through 7-Zip's Add command and subsequent lines adding files to the archive through the Update command. Now that is ...

Re: Too many files selected to pass to 7-zip command line.
7-Zip can take a list file (containing the file names you want to act on) instead of file names, as a parameter. This is described in the Command Line Version > Syntax section of 7-Zip''s help file. I didn't mention it because I was trying to keep my post simple but I tried that. Believe it or not ...

Too many files selected to pass to 7-zip command line.
I'm having an issue with running 7-Zip form a script. My situation is this. Using XYplorer I do a search for all the files in a specified project that are before a certain date. I then need to put all these files in a ZIP file and archive them. I thought I would make a script that would ask me the n...

I believe I found a bug with the "COPYAS" script function
I'm using the syntax as follows: copyas '* - Backup <datem yyyy-mm-dd>.?'; When I select several files then run this script. It will take the modified date from one of the files and apply it to all. So if all the files have different modified dates then only one file will have the correct modified d...

Re: Color Filters
One thing is not working correct. There are certain files I never want to see the age of, So I put them first in the query but if they fit the age qualification then that age query takes precedence even though the File type query came first. See screen shots. The file was less that two hours old so ...
