Quick Search Causes Crash
Hi Don, I upgraded to the very latest Beta about an hour ago and noticed something I've not seen before. As soon as the 'Quck Search' tool bar button is selected, XY crashes completely. Using the full search panel appears to be OK, it's just the selection of the toolbar button that seems to cause th...

Re: Long Shot - Recover Product Key
Thanks Highend, much appreciated. I was hoping it could be done without bothering Don but i guess that's the way to go.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Long Shot - Recover Product Key
Hi all, I've moved house at short notice to a completely new area and in the panic my usual PC setup has gone into storage for the next 6 to 12 months. I copied all my passwords and product keys to an external SSD and guess what? Yep, that inadvertently ended up in storage too! I'm stuck using a lap...

Re: Create Folders Based on Filename and Move Files - Help Please
Hi Peter and thanks. I've read the documentation many times but I'm really no good at all at programming, I just don't seem to be able to grasp it. Horses for courses I suppose! However, I'm now making progress thanks to a little snippet posted by Highend Here: https://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopi...

Re: Create Folders Based on Filename and Move Files - Help Please
I'm working on this but it's driving me mad! I've tried to use the method outlined in the linked page but I can't get anything to work. This is what I have now: foreach($item, <get SelectedItemsNames |>, , "e") { $name = regexreplace($item, (.*)@(.*)_(.*), $2); // Extract the BASENAME from...

Thank you! I'll take a look at that post and the thread and see if I can come up with something.

Create Folders Based on Filename and Move Files - Help Please
This is driving me crazy. This should be a really simple task, but because I'm even more simple I'm making a mountain out of it. I've tried over and over and just can't get it to work. Here's the weirdest thing... if I run this script in 'try script' mode, it works perfectly. As soon as I try to run...

Re: 'Location currently not available' on Desktop\<New Folder>
I've searched but not found if there's been an updated to this. I posted about this a while ago Don but I became convinced it must just be me. For some reason I simply don't understand, the issue seemed to rectify itself for a while. I've seriously no idea why. It's just started happening again in e...

Re: After Moving Files I Get "Location Not Available . . . "
Mmm . . . please forget this one Don, I'll keep investigating. I've tried a few things and it appears to happen only with files and subfolders created when I use 7zip. I'd not noticed that before. This is my system, not a bug with XY, I'm sure of that now.

After Moving Files I Get "Location Not Available . . . "
So sorry if this has been discussed, I can't find it at all. It's probably something I'm doing wrong. I've had to re-install on a new laptop and got everything working great but this one is baffling me. I'm now on a Lenovo 64 bit Windows 10 machine. After moving folders or files, either through drag...

Sorry - Solved!!
After all this time, writing the question out brought me to the answer. I'll mention it here in case anyone else has this issue. I'd forgotten about the menu option 'Tools' > 'Customize List' The first option is 'show icons'. I switched that off then on again, now all is well. Can't believe I didn't...

Branch View in Pane 2 - No Icons Shown
Ok, silly question time. Silly because I know there's going to be a simple solution that I *should* have worked out or been able to find. However . . . Had this issue for a while but just lived with it, thinking I'd find the solution one day. I haven't and it's bugging the hell out of me  My i...

So good I bought it twice!
Hi all, After many years of using XY I seriously can't imagine my PC life without it. This little gem has replaced many other desktop applications I used to have running and it just keeps getting better and better. Through personal circumstances (a long boring story, I won't digress . . .) I needed ...
