Re: XYplorer64 TB v29.90.0020 - Strange Temporary File Appears on Desktop When Launching Files via XYplorer64 TB
So it's just another Win11 bug and has nothing to do with XY. It doesn’t matter whether XYplorer is running or not. Once this issue occurs, it persists until I reboot the system. Another user replied exact same issue while using the 64-bit version, which further supports the idea that it’s related ...

Re: XYplorer64 TB v29.90.0020 - Strange Temporary File Appears on Desktop When Launching Files via XYplorer64 TB
This is totally crazy. Can you see the size of that phantom file? Or maybe even the contents? It seems like the file gets deleted immediately after it's created. Since the Start menu only shows history, I assume it just means that a file with special characters was accessed. When I click on the fil...

Re: XYplorer64 TB v29.90.0020 - Strange Temporary File Appears on Desktop When Launching Files via XYplorer64 TB
So, in a fresh instance, when you launch a TXT file by double-clicking it in the list, this happens? yep. txt, jpg, mp4, glb, fbx, this kind of stuff. It doesn't necessarily have to be a default Windows app, but those are the fastest. I tested it by repeatedly opening a JPG file with the Windows 11...

Re: XYplorer64 TB v29.90.0020 - Strange Temporary File Appears on Desktop When Launching Files via XYplorer64 TB
Weird. Does it also happen with a fresh* instance? * Type fresh; into the Address Bar and press Enter. A new instance of XYplorer will open on top of your current instance. Note that your current configuration will not be overwritten by the "fresh" instance. Yes. Even when I run it as a f...

XYplorer64 TB v29.90.0020 - Strange Temporary File Appears on Desktop When Launching Files via XYplorer64 TB
Whenever I launch a file by clicking (regardless of the application), a strange file with random characters briefly appears on the desktop and then disappears. I noticed this behavior through the Windows 11 Start Menu, where the recently launched items show something unusual. At first, I didn’t know...

Re: Is there any plan for saving individual folder states automatically?
Wouldn't it be feasible to set a limit of 50 and then overwrite an older list?
The key is to focus on the current working folders rather than maintaining folders from a few months ago.
Well, Anyway. there goes my dream.

Is there any plan for saving individual folder states automatically?
Hello again. The 'Save folder view' function is good enough for hammering down a bundle of folders. However, since it requires manual saving and I don't often open many tabs, I frequently lose track of folder settings. For example, I usually set up a new project structure each week that evolves dail...

Re: Starting very slowly...
Hello, Yesterday I also experienced a sudden response degradation when running XY and opening the configuration window. It took 5 seconds each. I was shocked but quickly found the cause. I was downloading something 60 Megabyte/s at that time. When the download was completed everything back to normal...

The custom tab caption is not working on certain folders.
Korean version of Windows 11 Pro 23H2 22631.4602 26.70.0511 beta. The app is in the English language Hello. The custom tab caption <parent> does not work on 'Rapid access' and 'virtual folder(?)' like OneDrive, Download, and Document in the tree view. It only works when in the real path. 스크린샷 2025-0...
