F7 - does anybody use it?

If yes, it's time to say bye-bye. I'm planning to finally add comfy keyboard support for
- Move To (Shift+F7)
- Copy To (Ctrl+F7)
- Backup To (Ctrl+Shift+F7)
The naked F7 (currently "Previous location") will probably get its role in this play, too...

I sometimes use F7, and more often ctrl+F7 since i can quick swap when i am comparing two folders. Maybe then you can fulfill this wish of mine:

which is somewhat similar to ctrl+F7.

Re-key away. Bundling F7 with similar functions makes it more memorable, useful, and thus powerful.

Ups, I just learned about ctrl-f7 and now it's gone
Any chance for "Go to previous tab" to have a new keyboard shortcut?

Actually if there is an option to "cycle tabs in recently used order", then ctrl+tab would be more useful.

I have something better: F7 will now go to the previous location AND (if that was on another tab) previous tab at the same time!

If i understand correctly, you mean it will Zap back and forth irrespective of same or different tab?? If so, sounds good. Additionally we have alt+right and left for back and fore history.

Yes.
F7 is already better than alt+right and left because you need not know whether the previous location was in the past or in the future.

Neat. Works like a charm.

A bug related to this. First time use of F7 after XY restart opens a new tab. Subsequent F7s work fine.

That should only happen in the learning phase... (osmotic upgrading!

)
