I would like to change the file date and time to line it up with other files with the same date when I sort by date/time.

I searched xyplorer and the support forum but could not find this menu.

Where is it?

thanks.

You can change it in the info panel (F12) > Properties. Click on Created, modified or accessed to edit it. Dont forget to click "+" sign when you are done.

After I change the modified time and I click the "+" sign I get a message box "Time Stamping Failed" .

The file is a csv file with the archived box only checked.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks.

hmm I dont think you're doing anything wrong, but maybe the file is still open & "locked" by another application.
For example, having the file open in notepad won't block XY from changing its timestamps, but if you have the file open in Excel it might!
