[resolved] Title Case rename rules/exceptions
Posted: 02 May 2026 20:21
When in file rename mode, pressing F5 renames to Title Case. There are words that are exempted from the Title Case rename operation, as per the help file:
Example: Title is "Whiskey on the Rocks", and I would like the F5 operation to change that to "Whiskey On The Rocks". Is this possible, either through the settings dialog or a Tweak?
Is there any way to edit the "exempted" words, or disable them altogether, such that Title Case will always change the case of every word regardless? In Title Case there are some exceptions in the English language, words that will not receive a capital first letter unless they are in the first position of the title: a;an;and;at;by;for;from;in;of;on;or;out;the;to. The characters . : ? ! - when followed by a space are recognized as title-separators
Example: Title is "Whiskey on the Rocks", and I would like the F5 operation to change that to "Whiskey On The Rocks". Is this possible, either through the settings dialog or a Tweak?
