Hi,
Does XYplorer support tagging files and folders with custom colors, for example by right-clicking on an item and selecting a color from the context menu? If so, how can this be done? Thank you.

Not directly, but there are options that come close:
1) Color Filters: rule-based, but can be made to match specific items; see Configuration | Colors and Styles | Color Filters
2) Labels: easy to apply (yes, even via right-click menu in the Label column), but from a closed set of max 16; see Configuration | Information | Tags | Label captions and colors

There are labels and you can customize them in
Configuration | Information | Tags | Label captions and colors
These is no right-click menu item for that but you could show the Label column and do the tagging from there

@Ian Cai just for the info, XY's Labels can be called in lots of ways(not only vi column): a button in toolbar, top menu Tags > Labels, custom shortcut to call a drop-down menu with labels to set upon currently selected items.
