I have a SMB server, when I am in the local network, browsing the SMB share is normal.

When I am connecting to the SMB via wireguard (wireguard is setup on the router, and my windows PC connects to the router, it is transparent to the windows PC), browsing SMB with XYplorer is slow, transfer speed is normal. So basically opening a folder takes 2-5 seconds. Copying is giving me normal speed. Using windows default file browser is normal, opening folder is instant.

Disabling anti virus does not make any difference.

Tried fresh portable XYplorer, same result.

Problem happens on both desktop PC and laptop, laptop was sorta fresh install.

Try if checking this makes it any faster:

Thanks for the advice, that is the first thing I tried, makes no difference.

Is there any script that can show tab loading time? Sorta similar to the script that shows boot time for the program.

I only have line numbers, name, size and modified time. Size for folders on network location is disabled.

Also I tried to only show name, result is same, slow load for SMB folders.

There is nothing I can do at the moment.
