I wanted to try this to see if it was any faster searching. But i found immediately that it has to be Run As Administrator otherwise it does not display any .CR2 thumbnails, but more importantly you cannot either move or delete any files found in your searches

I can't say anything about the thumbnails, I don't have a preview / thumbnail handler installed for .cr2 but I have no problems moving or deleting items from a search result when running XY non-elevated...

There is no connection between rights and thumbnail extraction. Must be something else.
